Recycling
Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed
Antoine Laurent de Lavoisier
Convinced that reducing environmental impact and recovering glass go hand in hand, it is clear that glass is today the right material for sustainable development. Reusable and 100% recyclable, glass is the only packaging material that can be remelted endlessly to make new bottles with no loss of quality, purity or clarity. This system is called closed-loop recycling.
The environmental stakes of glass recyclingOur company has for years embraced an ecological approach based on waste recycling: glass is 100% recycled.
Using recycled glass (cullet) delivers
A reduction in the use of natural resources: cullet is a substitute for raw materials (sand, limestone and soda ash)
Energy savings, cullet melts at a lower temperature than natural raw materials, saving 40 kg of fuel per tonne of cullet used.
A limit on CO2 emissions into the atmosphere (1 tonne of cullet used avoids the direct emission of 250 to 300 kg of CO2)
A reduction in waste volumes by creating a virtuous circle for the solid waste recovered from glass packaging.
